In 1995, the generator distributorship was taken over by Cummins Mid Canada due to a purchase of the Onan Corporation by the Cummins Engine Company. Today, this enterprise occupies rented space at the Highway 17 East location of Lake of the Woods Electric.
Lake of the Woods Electric changed ownership to bring Jon Moncrief on board as owner. Past company president Glen McDougald continues to be involved along with employees and management with many years experience with the company.
Today our operations include all aspects of electrical installations, power line work and sales of electrical, solar and plumbing supplies. We average a staff of approximately 20 individuals, most of whom have been with the company for many years. The management and staff of Lake of the Woods Electric are proud to be a part of our community and the many projects we have been involved with here in the Kenora area.
